What is ITLX's BBBEE status, and how does it benefit my company?

ITLX's BBBEE Level 1 status and what it means for your procurement scorecard.

ITLX is a verified BBBEE Level 1 contributor β€” the highest possible rating under South Africa's Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment framework.

What does Level 1 mean for your business?

When your company spends with a BBBEE-rated supplier, that spend is recognised on your own scorecard β€” but the recognition level depends on your supplier's rating.

BBBEE Level

Procurement Recognition

Level 1 (ITLX)

135%

Level 2

125%

Level 4

100%

Level 5

80%

Non-compliant

0%

Because ITLX holds Level 1 status, every rand your company spends with us counts as R1.35 on your procurement scorecard. This is the maximum recognition available under the framework.

For companies that need to meet BBBEE procurement targets β€” particularly in financial services, government supply chains, and large corporates β€” choosing a Level 1 supplier over a lower-rated alternative is a measurable advantage.

Government and state-owned entities

Government departments and SOEs are required to work with BBBEE-compliant suppliers. Non-compliant vendors are excluded entirely. ITLX's Level 1 status means there are no restrictions on procurement from these entities.
