The ITLX AI Design Studio is a built-in mockup tool inside the ITLX merchandise management platform. It lets you visualise your logo or artwork on any product in the ITLX catalogue before you order — so you can check placement, size, and look without sending files back and forth.
What the AI Design Studio does
The AI Design Studio is one of three features that make ITLX unique in the South African market — alongside the brand asset library and real-time spend reporting.
With the AI Design Studio you can:
Upload a logo or artwork file and position it on a product
Pull a logo directly from your Brand Asset Library
Preview the mockup before requesting a quote or placing an order
Save your design back to your account so your team can reuse it
How to access the AI Design Studio
You need an ITLX account to use the AI Design Studio. It is available to registered users on itlx.co.za.
Log in to your ITLX account
Open the product you want to brand
Click the Design Studio button on the product page
Upload artwork or select a logo from your Brand Asset Library
Position the design, adjust the size, and preview
What file types work best
For the cleanest mockup and the smoothest move from design to production, vector files are best. Supported file types are explained in our artwork file types article.
In short: .ai, .eps, .pdf, or .svg vector files give the best results. High-resolution .png files with transparent backgrounds are accepted but may be less sharp at large sizes.

Upload your logo once to your Brand Asset Library so you can reuse it across products
Preview on a dark and a light product to check how your logo reads on different backgrounds

Does the AI Design Studio replace the design team?
No. The AI Design Studio gives you a visual preview so you can agree on placement and size quickly. Final production artwork is still checked by the ITLX team before printing or embroidery to make sure it prints correctly. See what happens after I submit my design for the full workflow.

Is the AI Design Studio free to use?
Yes. Creating mockups in the AI Design Studio does not cost anything — you only pay when you place an order for the actual branded merchandise.
Can I share a mockup with my team before ordering?

Will the printed product look exactly like the mockup?
The mockup is a close visual guide. Actual print colours are confirmed via the colour-matching process because fabric, ink, and branding method all affect the final result.
Can I use the AI Design Studio for embroidery as well as print?
